Among them is little Youssef, a 7-year-old boy who used to dream of becoming a doctor. But now, his dreams are overshadowed by the struggle for survival.

Here in Potchefstroom, we refuse to turn away. As a community built on compassion and unity, we are coming together to make a difference. With Islamic Relief, we are raising funds to rebuild homes, restore schools, and provide urgent aid to the people of Gaza.

From Our Community to Theirs – A Lifeline for Gaza

Imagine waking up to find everything you’ve ever known—your home, your school, your place of worship—reduced to rubble. This is the harsh reality for thousands of families in Gaza, where war and destruction have left people without shelter, food, or even the basics needed to survive.

The heart of Gaza beats with resilience, but the weight of destruction is overwhelming. Homes have crumbled, schools lie in ruins, and families who once had so little now have nothing at all. Children who should be playing in the streets are searching for food, while parents wonder how they will keep their loved ones safe.

But in the face of devastation, hope remains.

Here in Potchefstroom, we refuse to stand by in silence. As a community built on faith, compassion, and unity, we are coming together to make a difference, we know the power of community. When one of us struggles, we all come together. And now, we are extending that unity beyond borders, standing in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Gaza. With Islamic Relief, we are launching a mission to rebuild homes, restore schools, provide medical care, and bring essential aid to those in desperate need.
