Since the escalation on October 7, 2023, Islamic Relief has significantly increased its humanitarian efforts in Gaza, providing essential aid and support to affected communities. Key initiatives include:

• Food Assistance: Distribution of over 67 million hot meals to displaced individuals and families. Islamic Relief is providing over 200 000 hot meals daily since the escalations.

• Water Supply: Provision of clean water to communities facing severe shortages.

• Orphan Support: Expansion of the Orphan Sponsorship Programme from 8,750 children before October 2023 to over 16,400 children, offering financial assistance and psychosocial support.

• Healthcare Services: Delivery of psychosocial support and physical rehabilitation for wounded children, addressing both mental health and physical injuries.

• Infrastructure Support: Installation of portable toilets and distribution of hygiene kits to improve sanitation for displaced populations.

Despite the ceasefire in January 2025, the situation in Gaza remains critical. Islamic Relief continues to work diligently to provide ongoing support and address the evolving needs of the population.
