Islamic Relief’s Response

Islamic Relief has been working in the Palestinian Territories since 1997 and continues to provide essential humanitarian aid despite major challenges and access restrictions. Their work includes distributing food and water such as hot meals, food packs, and nutrient supplements; providing medical support through basic healthcare services and supplies; offering cash assistance to families and guardians of orphans to meet urgent needs; delivering psychosocial support to help children and families cope with trauma; carrying out shelter cleaning and disease-prevention efforts to improve living conditions; and supporting maternal healthcare for pregnant women and newborns. They are also prepared to resume wider food distribution as soon as humanitarian access is restored.

Impact

Since the crisis began, Islamic Relief has delivered millions of ready-to-eat meals and food packets, distributed thousands of medical items, provided psychosocial support for children, delivered tens of thousands of family hygiene kits and cash assistance packages, and supported over 21,000 orphaned children.
