Campaign Story

My name is Azraa Adams and I have teamed up with Islamic Relief to raise funds for Syria.

For over 14 years, Syria has endured a relentless crisis that has severely damaged its infrastructure and devastated its people.

Nearly 15 million people require humanitarian health support,
while 13 million people face acute food insecurity.

The prolonged conflict, coupled with global inflation and rising commodity prices,has plunged much of the Syrian population into crippling poverty. Essential services including the banking system, healthcare facilities, and education, are operating atlimited capacity.

The situation remains dire due to a combination of prolonged conflict and
environmental challenges. Climate-related incidents such as prolonged droughts
and erratic weather patterns continue to impact agricultural production and water
availability, exacerbating food insecurity across the country. Disease outbreaks,
including cholera, remain a significant threat due to limited access to clean water
and adequate sanitation facilities.
