Short Story

This Ramadan, I’m raising money to provide food packs for families in need.

Just R1250 can feed one family for a month. Every contribution goes toward helping a household experience Ramadan with less financial pressure and greater stability.

If you’re able to support, even one donation can make a real difference.

Campaign Story

This Ramadan, I don’t just want to fast from food — I want to fast from indifference.

Every year, we gather around tables filled with warmth, family and comfort. We hear the adhaan, we make du’a, and we break our fast knowing there is more than enough. But somewhere not far from us, there are families breaking their fast with almost nothing… or not breaking it at all.

Ramadan teaches us what hunger feels like. But for some, hunger is not a lesson. It is their daily reality.

That is why my goal this Ramadan is to raise money to provide food packs for families who are struggling. Not for attention. Not for recognition. But because our blessings were never meant to stop with us.

When we fast, we feel weakness, thirst and longing — and then relief. Imagine feeling that same hunger without knowing when relief will come. No mother should have to choose which child eats first. No family should spend Ramadan worrying about survival instead of focusing on faith.

I may not be able to help everyone. But if I can ease even one family’s burden, if I can help even one household break their fast with dignity and peace, then that is enough to make a difference.

Ramadan is the month of mercy. And mercy is meant to move us.

This is my way of turning empathy into action.
