HELP GET A HANOVER PARK YOUTH CRICKET TEAM TO THE UK

19%

The United Kingdom is calling for a youth team from the Fish Rite Hanover Park Cricket Club.

The community-upliftment club based in the heart of the Cape Flats has been doing amazing work keeping youth off the streets and away from the social ills like gangsterism and drugs.

The purpose of the club is all about impacting the lives of their members by creating sustainable employment via coaching, administration, umpiring and management to help restore dignity and a sense of belonging and quality of life.

The ‘Breaking Boundaries Youth Tour to the UK’ is set to expose these young talented players to the international arena and to give them an opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad for a good cause.

This initiative is proudly supported by:

  • Western Province Cricket Association
  • Islamic Relief South Africa
  • Club Patron & England cricketer Moeen Ali
  • Fish Rite CEO Robert Zive
  • University of the Western Cape Chancellor Professor Tyrone Pretorius
  • Cape Argus Editor Aziz Hartley
  • Rushaan Toefy Financial Services

Our fundraising target is R650,000 to cover all expenses for the touring party that includes 14 players and 11 support staff i.e. management, coaches and parents.

The tour group is set to depart on Thursday 1 August and will return on Sunday 18 August 2019.

Please support the #BreakingBoundaries UK/London Cricket Tour 2019.

Donate and help build a stronger future the youth in Hanover Park.

“Cricket is not just a sport but builds character and personality especially for young cricketers playing other people abroad”. From an old world-wide cricketer
