Despite the ceasefire that began on January 19, 2025, violence continues to plague the region, days after the ceasefire took effect. More than 160 Palestinians have been recovered from under rubble since the ceasefire, highlighting the ongoing risks of the aggression’s aftermath.

The impact on Gaza’s children is especially harrowing, with nearly 38,500 orphans reported since the beginning of the conflict. Of these, 32,152 children have lost their fathers, 4,417 have lost their mothers, and 1,918 have lost both parents. Additionally, 13,901 women have been widowed. The destruction of families has left a generation of children deeply traumatized and vulnerable.
